Therapy
for adult TCKs

In London or online

If you grew up between cultures, moving from place to place, you might carry a unique blend of adaptability, disconnection, and quiet grief. As an adult Third Culture Kid (TCK), you may struggle with identity, relationships, or the lingering sense that you don't quite fit anywhere.

Therapy offers a space to unpack these layered experiences, process your story, and develop a stronger, more stable sense of self.

I work with adult TCKs in London or online globally, offering culturally sensitive support.

What is a Third Culture Kid (TCK)?

A Third Culture Kid is someone who spent part of their developmental years living outside their family’s home culture.

You might relate if you:

  • Lived in multiple countries growing up

  • Moved frequently due to your parents’ careers

  • Feel like you’re always adapting, never settling

  • Struggle to answer the question, 'where are you from?'

These early experiences can deeply shape adult life, sometimes leaving you feeling:

  • Rootless or untethered

  • Anxious or emotionally overwhelmed

  • Disconnected from a clear sense of self

  • Isolated or misunderstood in relationships

How therapy can help adult TCKs

Therapy offers more than insight. It offers space to slow down, to be heard, and to explore parts of yourself that may never have had room to exist.

Together we can explore:

  • The emotional impact of frequent moves and transitions

  • Identity confusion and cultural dislocation

  • Patterns of over-adaptability or people-pleasing

  • Grief related to loss, home or belonging

  • Difficulty maintaining close relationships or feeling seen

You don’t need to explain your background or justify your complexity with me. It's my own lived experience and it’s something I implicity understand.

Who I work with

I work with adults who:

  • Grew up abroad or in multiple countries

  • Identify as TCKs, Cross-Cultural Kids, or global nomads

  • Feel in between cultures or identities

  • Want to explore how their upbringing still affects them today

Whether you're highly functioning but emotionally tired or feeling lost and unsure where to begin, therapy can help you reconnect with yourself.
